Lead Site Reliability Engineer

About position
Lead Site Reliability Engineer required for pivotal role within a leading Energy Software House based in Oslo, Norway. The successful candidate will have extensive SRE skills and experience on public cloud solutions, preferably in a team lead role. If you have been in Utilities, Financial or Telecommunications environment, this will be highly desirable, but by no means essential.

In this role, your main responsibilities will be
- Guide, build and develop the Greenbird SRE team
- Serve as the technical mentor for the team.
- Recruit and expand the team in-line with the company's strategy
- Design, configure and develop cloud infrastructure for our products
- Delivery of secure and reliable services to our customers using SRE methodology
- Automate frameworks from CI/CD to infrastructure as code
Essential skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/System Administration or similar technical field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with running production services on container platforms like Kubernetes
- Experience with building resilient services using metrics to provide operational insights
- Experience with using public cloud infrastructure to deliver highly available services, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
Desirable skills
- Experience developing highly scalable and robust backend services in a cloud environment
- Familiar with Git, Confluence, Jira, Nexus, Maven, NPM, Concourse, Kubernetes, Helm
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment systems
- Experience within Kotlin, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Jetty, Jersey, REST, Web Services, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Docker
