Greenbird’s Energy Ecosystem Expands its Community of Leading-Edge Tech Companies

Greenbird is joining forces with a new partner, Enersis. Greenbird’s data integration capabilities, combined with Enersis’ Digital Twin and Data Analytics expertise will work together to accelerate digital transformation in the energy sector.

Greenbird’s energy sector ecosystem is expanding. The Oslo based IT company announced today that it had joined forces with Swiss company, Enersis. Enersis uses Big Data combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning to help companies master the digital energy transition.

Enersis’ solutions include Visual Energy Analytics and Digital Twin applications for cities and energy systems. The new partnership enables Enersis to use the data provisioning capabilities of Greenbird’s Utilihive digital integration hub to power its applications.

Enersis’ Thomas Koller commented,

“There is a perfect fit between Greenbird’s product portfolio and Enersis’ solutions. There is also a meeting of minds; we have matching viewpoints on the importance of accelerating the energy transition. Really this new partnership is the joining together of old friends.”

The Utilihive ecosystem drives the energy revolution

Utilihive sits at the center of Greenbird’s energy ecosystem. Utilihive enables utilities and innovative start-ups to create sustainable value from the large volume of data that utilities generate. Utilihive is a domain specific platform which simplifies integration and data flows. This allows ecosystem partners to offer new applications and services quickly in a competitive market.

The Utilihive ecosystem accelerates utilities' Digital Transformation

Utilihive ecosystem partners enable utilities to fast-track their adoption of technologies such as AI, Machine Learning and Data Analytics, technologies that are poised to revolutionize the utility sector. Utilities that successfully adopt these technologies will benefit from data-driven insights leading to new services that will give them a competitive advantage

The challenge faced by start-ups and established utilities alike is access to data. Often this is from legacy systems which is difficult to access and integrate. In addition, traditional legacy systems were not designed to handle the increased volume and speed of data exchange required for these new intelligent grid analytics and Machine Learning applications.

Greenbird’s Utilihive platform offers a solution to these challenges by delivering prebuilt support for integration to legacy systems, handling data from IoT devices, smart meters, and traditional enterprise data.

“Data is fueling the energy transition. But it has to be good data. Real time data. Accurate, complete and actual data.“, says Thorsten Heller, CEO of Greenbird. “Utilities are typically wasting more than 80% of IT spending on making good data available. With Utilihive they could spend almost 100% on innovating and delivering the smart data-driven services driving the energy transition. This partnership exemplifies our mission. We in Greenbird provision the good data. Enersis creates new insights from it.”

Enersis and the Ecosystem

In joining the ecosystem, our new partner, Enersis can easily integrate to the quality data they need. This will enable them to create accurate Digital Twins and operate their GRIDS analytics tools, simulating scenarios and making predictions that will help cities and utilities to develop new, market-leading services.
