Greenbird signs first contract in India with BRPL

Norwegian technology DevOps company, Greenbird Integration Technology has signed an agreement with BRPL (BSES Rajdhani Power Limited) using the Utilihive platform for an analytics & data integration solution. It was launched during a virtual meeting in presence of the Norwegian Ambassador to India, His Excellency Mr. Hans Jacob Frydenlund, BRPL CEO Mr. Amal Sinha.
Also present in the virtual meeting were Mr. Helge Tryti, Director of Innovation Norway and senior officials from the supporting organisations.
BRPL is committed to ensuring quality and reliable power supply. For this reason, BRPL is exploring the latest suitable data lake and digital platform technologies to support various areas of grid operations. Real-time AMR data, feeder load analysis and consumption pattern analysis within the existing distribution network are included in the initial pilot phase to support power quality and a seamless power supply.

The insights we will gain from analyzing the data we collect within our network will be invaluable for intelligent grid investments, preventive maintenance and ensuring reliable power supply," said Mr Amal Sinha, CEO at BSES Rajdhani Power Limited. “This pilot will provide us the opportunity to demonstrate the value of using the Utilihive Data Lake to validate, unify and structure energy data, machine data and enterprise information and make it accessible to develop valuable innovative applications with our IT department and partners.”
The pilot will demonstrate the creation of a Data Lake and the value of analytics & data integration across discom's multiple data sources for accurate and timely operational & planning decisions while improving response time for various services & deliverables. It will also help the discom to develop a data analytics layer for optimization of operations critical for ensuring reliable power supply for consumers.
