Position: Regional Business Development Executive (Europe or Asia)

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be a hunter able to generate new business, effectively ‘owning’ the revenue created in a geographical based territory. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer the candidate will have the aptitude to grow Greenbird’s customer base in the energy & utilities industry.  Moreover, creating a footprint to develop continued revenue growth of within those customers.

As a Regional Business Development Executive she/he will be required to work holistically and in a structured process managing the end-to-end sales cycle covering the relationship within their account base. Within their target accounts the successful applicant must be able to operate at both C-level and with the technical decision makers.

Additionally she/he will need an understanding of the SI/Consultancies landscape within their region and be able to influence them.

Communication and collaboration is key to the role. The successful candidate will be the first employee within their geographical region and maintaining a tight relationships with the virtual team (partner team, engineering, consultants) is essential. If successful in role, the Territory Manager would be responsible for growing the team in that region.

Requirements needed for the role.

  • 3+ years of selling enterprise technology (software or consulting)
  • Evidence in lighthouse wins of a disruptive/transformative nature
  • Network of customer contacts within the energy/utilities sector
  • Comfortable operating at the C-Level of an organisation
  • Ability to work independently but a strong communicator with HQ
  • Strong organisational skills for weekly forecasting
  • Ability to demonstrate comprehensive usage of a CRM system
  • Willingness to travel frequently internationally

Objective & Key Results:


  • Grow SaaS revenues and number of metering points operated by Metercloud
  • Grow Greenbird’s visibility as one of the ten most influential, innovative and important SaaS players for utilities

Key Results:

  • Annual Recurring SaaS Revenue (ARR)
  • Number of (new) metering points operated by Metercloud
  • Number of qualified leads / opportunities generated
