Greenbird is nominated as one of the top 50 finalists for the CODE_n contest taking place during CeBIT 2015 in Hannover, Germany. The nomination is based on the disruptive business model for the integration service Metercloud. As a part of the nomination, Greenbird will receive a free exhibition space in the artistically designed CODE_n hall at CeBIT 2015.
CODE_n is one of the world’s leading network platforms for digital pioneers, innovators and groundbreaking startups in the technology sector. The goal of CODE_n is to support outstanding business talents and their exceptional business ideas, provide them with a platform for dialog, and therefore stimulate and accelerate innovation in the field.
This year´s topic for the CODE_n contest is “Into the Internet of Things”. The Internet of things describes the unique ecosystem that has been formed by the increased networking of machines of all kinds – from devices we use every day to vehicles, entire factories and even urban infrastructure. The market research company IDC estimates a global market volume of US$7.1 billion in 2020 for the Internet of things, and a yearly growth rate of, on average, 17.5 percent.
CeBIT is the world’s largest and most international computer expo. The trade fair is held each year on the Hanover fairground, and is considered a barometer of the state of the art in information technology. CeBIT provides a 360°overview of the digital industry and give top visibility to sweeping trends and innovations. This global network of business leaders, forward thinkers and social innovators reveals, explores and debates trailblazing technologies and how they will shape the year ahead. It will take place from March 16th to March 20th.
Metercloud integration services will provide ready-to-use integration solutions and configurable business integration processes for smart metering, smart grids and smart cities. With traditional middleware platforms, utilities would have to invest in developing their own integration solutions from scratch. Configurable Metercloud services support core usage scenarios like smart meter simulation, smart meter rollout, smart meter operations and market operations.
