To meet current and future needs for automated business processes and seamless integration, greenbird Integration Technnology and Intrum Justitia have established a new holistic integration platform targeted debt collection for the energy industry. The solution is fitted for Smart Metering / AMI requirements and future Smart Grid possibilities supporting fully automated integration processes for debt collection in a smart metering environment. While the solution is established with a particular focus on the energy industry, it can easily be utilized toward other industries. This gives a more secure, flexible and uniform cooperation between Intrum Justitia and their customers in other industries.

The Intrum Challenge
Intrum Justitia is Europes largest and leading debt collector and are focusing hard in the Norwegian market. The energy business is an integral part of Intrum Justitia's effort in Norway, and in relation to this have hired Greenbird as an expert on the energy industry, integration and architecture. Greenbird has supported Intrum Justitia with both consulting services and project management related to the integration solution. The most important element to succeed was a seamless integration with the customers' CIS-systems, short time-to-market and little or no impact on the customers' daily operation.
The Intrum Solution
Greenbird has in cooperation with Intrum Justitia established a modern and holistic integration solution that responds to the challenge and gives Intrum Justitia the necessary tools to succeed with their effort in Norway toward the energy industry. Key elements of the solution are:
- Integration platform based on webMethods (ESB) built on a service oriented architecture (SOA)
- Open standardized interfaces (REST, Webservice, XML, etc.)
- Loosely coupled, plug&play towards the customers' CIS-systems (adapters)
- Fully automate test battery that secures high quality in every aspect of the solution (JUnit, Hudson)
- Holistic thoroughly tested information model and transformations
- Build in integration towards hand held units (SmartPhones, iPad, HandyMan) especially targeted towards the installers
